- Tom's Hardware reviewed the Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra, praising its Magnetic Connect port, bright screen, and AI capability while criticizing its heavy weight and loud fan noise.
- The review found that Windows 11 still lacks features to take advantage of the device's RTX Spark GPU, leaving the hardware's AI potential underutilized until Microsoft ships more supporting software.
Why it matters: The Surface Laptop Ultra is pitched as a premium AI PC, but Tom's Hardware finds the hardware outruns the software — meaning buyers are paying for GPU capability Windows 11 cannot yet exercise, deferring the real payoff until future OS updates.
