- Hope generated $5.5 million from 767,366 admissions over the Jul. 24–26 weekend, capturing 66.8% of total market revenue in its second frame
- Hope has now accumulated $25.3 million from 3,415,707 viewers since its record-setting opening, with director Na Hong-Jin's film featuring Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, Jung Ho-yeon, Michael Fassbender, and Alicia Vikander in a story about a harbor town encountering a mysterious alien entity
- Minions & Monsters debuted at second with $793,103, lifting its cumulative to $3.9 million since its Jul. 15 release
- Toy Story 5 took fourth with $376,522, pushing its South Korean cumulative to $19.8 million from 2.8 million viewers since mid-June
- Colony, directed by Yeon Sang-ho and starring Jun Ji-hyun, placed ninth with $27,867, bringing its lifetime haul to $42.6 million from nearly 6 million admissions since its May 21 rollout
- The Korean box office overall gross plummeted to $8.2 million, more than halving from the prior weekend's $17.1 million
Why it matters: The Korean overall revenue dropped 52% from $17.1 million to $8.2 million weekend-over-weekend, with "Hope" alone accounting for 66.8% of that smaller pie — exhibitors relying on tentpole carryover face a market where a single film's drop-off would leave minimal revenue behind.
