Signature Acquires UK Rights to Butterfield Thriller

- Signature Entertainment acquired UK and Irish rights to the dark satire Our Hero, Balthazar from sales company Visit Films, in a deal negotiated between Signature's Max Hart and Visit Films' Ryan Kampe.
- Oscar Boyson wrote and directed Our Hero, Balthazar in his directorial debut, co-writing the script with Ricky Camilleri; producers include Boyson, Camilleri, David Duque Estrada, Alex Hughes, Jaeden Martell and Jon Wroblewski.
- Asa Butterfield (Sex Education) and Jaeden Martell (Knives Out) lead the ensemble, joined by Jennifer Ehle, Noah Centineo and Chris Bauer (Thunderbolts).
- Our Hero, Balthazar premiered at Tribeca last year, and follows a wealthy New York teenager (Martell) who follows an online troll (Butterfield) to Texas, convinced he can stop an act of extreme violence.
- Signature's Max Hart framed the film as 'a sharp, darkly comic and provocative thriller — a frenetic and prescient portrait of Gen Z alienation,' while director Boyson said Signature would help reach 'the widest number of people' in the UK and Ireland.
