- Paramount will launch 'The Legend of Korra In Concert' in January 2027 with two concurrent legs covering more than 20 U.S. cities and 10 European cities, timed to the 2012 sequel's 15th anniversary.
- The Legend of Korra In Concert is described as a 'live-to-picture orchestral experience' featuring HD projections of major scenes in chronological order backed by a live symphony performing Jeremy Zuckerman's score, with exclusive merchandise at each stop.
- Composer Jeremy Zuckerman said the Korra score 'explores a very different emotional and musical landscape' than 'Last Airbender,' blending orchestral, jazz, and electronic influences to reflect Korra's more modern world.
- The original 'Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert' launched in 2024 with sold-out shows in London, Paris, New York, and San Francisco, expanded to 100 cities, and now runs an 80-city 20th Anniversary Tour — with combined tours selling more than 500,000 tickets.
- GEA Live's Floris Douwes and Senbla's Ollie Rosenblatt said the global response to the 'Last Airbender' concert made the Korra tour 'feel like the natural next step,' citing strong crossover appeal with its own distinct tone.
- Tickets go on sale July 17, with the U.S. leg beginning Jan. 10 at Omaha's Orpheum Theatre and running through at least March 9 at New Orleans' Mahalia Jackson Theatre across 22 listed dates.
- The concert tour coincides with Paramount's broader franchise relaunch: the 'Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender' film debuting on Paramount+ July 25, and Avatar Studios' first series 'Avatar: Seven Havens' releasing in 2027.
Why it matters: Paramount is doubling down on the 'Avatar' franchise as a live-experiences business, betting that the Korra sequel can replicate the 500,000-ticket success of the 'Last Airbender' concert tours. Fans get a rare chance to hear Zuckerman's jazz-inflected Korra score performed live — a deliberately different sonic palette from the original — while the tour piggybacks on a 2027 slate that includes Avatar Studios' first original series.
