- Hoichoi announced a 10th-anniversary slate of more than 25 series, films and TV titles, led by "Maharaja Tomare Selam" — a Srijit Mukherji film tracing Satyajit Ray's struggle to make the children's classic "Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne" — starring Jeetu Kamal, Ritwik Bhowmik and Rudranil Ghosh.
- Feluda returns in "Feludar Goyendagiri: Baksho Rawhoshyo," directed by Kamaleswar Mukherjee, in which the detective chases the secret of a box swapped during a train journey, with Tota Roy Choudhury, Kalpan Mitra and Subhadip Chakrabarti starring.
- Eken Babu heads to Kerala in "The Eken: Kerala-e Kurukshetra," directed by Joydeep Mukherjee, where a botched secret mission pulls him into a new mystery, with Anirban Chakrabarti, Ritwick Chakraborty and Raima Sen in the cast.
- Hoichoi's first animated series, "Shri Ramkrishna" (directed by Sanglap Bhowmick), traces the life of spiritual master Ramakrishna Paramahansa, while "Debipokkho," "Kauriburir Mandir," "Mangolik," "Konya," "Shoti," "Jujuma" and "Kanamachchi" round out the series slate.
- Hoichoi's library now holds more than 600 Bengali films and over 200 original series watched in India, Bangladesh and overseas, with newer bets including Hoichoi FM (original audio fiction in-app) and Sooper, a cross-language microdrama venture, plus AI tools via LoglineAI.
- COO Soumya Mukherjee said the platform's first decade was about creating "a home for Bengali stories," while co-founder Vishnu Mohta framed the next ten years around expanding "what that platform can become" through technology, AI and new formats.
Why it matters: Hoichoi is using its 10-year milestone to argue a language-first streamer can scale globally — evidenced by its 600-film, 200-series library plus new forays into audio fiction (Hoichoi FM), microdramas (Sooper) and AI production tools (LoglineAI). For Bengali IP holders and creators, the slate signals continued demand for franchise extensions (Feluda, Eken Babu, Thakumar Jhuli) and prestige projects like the Ray biopic, though success depends on whether audio and AI bets convert into paying subscribers beyond the core 10-year base.
