Honda Recalls ~60,000 Prologue, ZDX EVs Over Camera

- Honda is recalling 59,887 vehicles total — 44,199 Prologue and 14,688 Acura ZDX models from the 2024 and 2025 model years — because the rearview camera may show a blank or distorted image
- Honda told the NHTSA in a Wednesday letter (campaign number 26V306) that it estimates only 5% of the recalled vehicles actually have the defect, calling the action a safety precaution
- Honda dealers will replace the rearview camera at no cost, with owner notification letters scheduled to mail on July 6, 2026
- Honda Prologue sales are down more than 55% so far in 2025, sliding from the third-best-selling EV in the US in late 2024 to sixth in 2025 as the Chevy Equinox EV, updated Hyundai IONIQ 5, and Toyota bZ gained ground
