- Advanced Surgical Assistive Robot (ASAR) — a Collaborative Robot for neurosurgical applications — was sanctioned at Rs 3.66 crore over three years, to be jointly developed by IIIT-B and NIMHANS as an indigenous, modular and cost-effective robotic platform
- Centre for Human Genetics (CHG), Bengaluru, will undergo a Rs 6.80 crore vertical expansion over two years to host the new Institute of Advanced Genome Editing and Gene Therapy, adding ~1,500 sq m of ISO-certified clean rooms, tissue culture labs and Next-Generation Sequencing facilities
