- Rad Life Mobility acquired QuietKat to form a three-brand e-bike platform: Rad Power Bikes (utility/commuter), Serial 1 (premium), and QuietKat (hunting and outdoor recreation).
- The Rad Power Bikes acquisition gave the company access to approximately 1,200 US dealers and 80 Canadian dealers, infrastructure now being used to support all three brands.
- Scott Adams, SVP at Rad Life Mobility, said the company plans to leverage scale for better supplier relationships and component pricing, comparing the approach to Lectric Bikes' three-brand playbook.
- All three brands will be sold in Europe, where Serial 1 already has an established following, Adams confirmed at Eurobike 2026 in Frankfurt.
- The Safe Shield battery upgrade program drew over 500 signups on its first day with a 50% discount, addressing concerns from a disputed CPSC battery safety warning affecting tens of thousands of packs from the original Rad Power Bikes before its bankruptcy.
- Rad Life Mobility is building all-new e-bike models from the ground up for the Rad Power Bikes lineup, with attention shifting from operational stabilization to product innovation.
Why it matters: Customers of Rad, Serial 1, and QuietKat could see broader service coverage through a combined 1,280-plus North American dealer network, while the company gains negotiating leverage on components and batteries in a margin-tight industry. The battery program uptake (500-plus first-day signups) directly addresses the CPSC dispute that followed Rad Power Bikes' bankruptcy.
