- Eli Electric Vehicles is unveiling the Eli ZERO MX and limited Eli ZERO Race Edition at EICMA 2026 in Milan from November 3–8, primarily for the European market.
- Eli ZERO MX is classified as an L7e heavy quadricycle, reaching up to 80 km/h (50 mph) from the original L6e’s 45 km/h (28 mph); the higher class generally requires a higher-level driving license.
- Eli ZERO MX retains the original’s 2.25-meter length while increasing peak power from 12 kW to 20 kW and adding rear-wheel drive, ECO and SPORT modes, 30% climbing capability and a 7.2-meter turning circle.
- Eli ZERO MX carries a 14.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery with a claimed range of up to 200 km (124 miles), charged through a 3.3 kW onboard charger at home or on public AC chargers.
- Eli ZERO Race Edition is limited-production and offered in both L6e and L7e configurations, with Turbo Red paint, racing stripes, a spoiler, special two-tone upholstery and a compatible Carbon Aero Kit containing a splitter, side skirts and rear wing.
- Eli ZERO Race Edition hides a Turbo mode behind a long press of the hazard-light button: four chimes precede sharper accelerator response, without increasing top speed or exceeding regulatory performance limits.
- Eli ZERO is available through authorized dealers in Italy, Norway and the Netherlands from €10,500 (about US$12,000), while MX and Race Edition pricing remains unannounced and a U.S. pilot program is underway.
Why it matters: Buyers who need to travel on faster suburban roads gain an 80 km/h option without giving up the original’s 2.25-meter footprint, but the L7e class generally requires a higher-level driving license. The existing European range starts at €10,500, while prices for the two new models remain unannounced.
