- BYD launched the Denza Z at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Friday, with global pre-orders crossing 1,000 units in five days, according to the Denza brand.
- The Denza Z starts at £142,900 ($192,000) in the UK but just 680,000 RMB (~$100,000) in China — roughly half the UK price.
- All three Denza Z variants — Coupe, Spider, and Racing — use three electric motors delivering 1,582 hp combined and 914 lb-ft of torque, with the Racing edition hitting 0–62 mph in 1.96 seconds and a 217 mph top speed.
- The e3 platform underpins the Denza Z with China's first full-stack self-developed steer-by-wire system, DiSus-M intelligent damping, and 800V architecture enabling a 10% to 97% recharge in 9 minutes on a 76 kWh Blade Battery 2.0.
- Inside the Denza Z, an 8.88-inch digital cluster and 12.8-inch center screen run Google built-in infotainment, with motorsport-inspired six-button steering wheels and headrest-mounted speakers.
- BYD expects first deliveries by the end of 2025 and plans to open pre-orders in additional markets through 2027, with the Z joining the Z9 GT and D9 in Denza's overseas lineup.
