Billy Evans, Elizabeth Holmes's common-law husband and father of her two children, becomes the standout villain of the documentary "You Can See Everything" despite sharing screen time with the far more famous Holmes and co-director Nathan Fielder.
Evans demanded a cut of the film's profits and asked for privacy while appearing fully nude on camera, moves the film presents as violations of typical documentary norms.
Post-incarceration, Evans displays markers of post-woke radicalization — shooting ranges, open carry, Charlie Kirk fandom, bragging about vindictiveness — and uses his control of Holmes's social media and AI likeness to post petty clapbacks and side-boasts.
The piece contrasts Evans with actual tech-bros like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, noting he lacks any tech expertise or successful product, making him "hustle-and-grind culture in its final dehumanizing form."
A concurrent four-hour Elon Musk documentary by Alex Gibney, the article notes, has drawn less attention than gossip around Evans in "You Can See Everything," a contrast the piece finds "telling, and a little discomfiting."
Holmes is shown in the film to remain unshakably loyal to Evans, while co-director Nathan Fielder appears visibly baffled by her, struggling to discern whether she is consciously scamming him or simply "reality-divergent."

Why it matters: The documentary's ability to turn Evans — a man with no achievements, fortune, or products — into a more talked-about cultural villain than Elon Musk, who has a concurrent Alex Gibney documentary, suggests audiences find petty, unsuccessful, near-powerless malefactors more viscerally entertaining than those with actual global reach. For Holmes, Evans's documented control of her social media accounts and AI likeness means her public persona is now partly authored by the partner the film portrays as her puppeteer.
