- Wellhouse Leisure revealed the PV5 i-Camper as a campervan built and ready to view, based on the PV5 Cargo Plus and measuring 4.69 m long, 1.89 m wide and 1.99 m tall.
- PV5 has become Europe’s top-selling C-segment electric van following its launch at the end of last year, while the modular E-GMP.S platform lets Kia swap body styles for custom configurations.
- PV5 i-Camper adds two double beds, with Froli Springs in the upper berth under the pop-up roof and sliding rear seats that fold flat to form a bed or can be removed entirely.
- PV5 i-Camper equips the kitchen with a sink and tap, electric water pump, two induction burners, a 42 L refrigerator, cabinets and storage spaces, and an optional microwave.
- PV5 i-Camper includes a 200 W solar panel, lithium leisure battery and 12 V supply for camping without using the main vehicle battery, while vehicle-to-load can power external devices, an e-bike or a campsite.
- PV5 Plus Long Range uses a 71.2 kWh battery rated up to 247 miles WLTP, though added equipment reduces range in the camper conversion; a DC fast charger takes it from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes.
- Wellhouse Leisure lists the PV5 electric campervan in the UK starting at £63,000, about $84,000.
Why it matters: For Kia and Wellhouse Leisure, the PV5 conversion adds a £63,000 camper product to a platform sold mainly for passenger and commercial use. Buyers get a kitchen, two beds and independent power, but the 71.2 kWh battery is rated up to 247 miles WLTP before the added habitation equipment reduces range.
