- Hyundai Motor Company filed a patent with the USPTO showing six images of what appears to be the production version of the Kia EV9 ADVNTR, an off-road electric SUV concept first unveiled at the 2024 SEMA show (uncovered by CarBuzz).
- The EV9 ADVNTR concept featured a custom roof rack that can support a roof-mounted tent for overnight stays, reinforced rocker panels, rugged all-terrain tires, modified front and rear bumpers, and front tow hooks.
- No powertrain details were included in the patent, but the most powerful current Kia EV9 delivers up to 379 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque from dual motors, paired with a 99.8 kWh battery offering up to 304 miles of EPA-estimated range.
- Kia has not confirmed whether it will produce the off-road variant.
