- Subaru priced the 2027 Trailseeker at $39,995 for the base Premium trim — unchanged from the current model — with the Limited at $43,995 and the Touring at $46,555.
- The Trailseeker delivers 375 hp combined and hits 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds, making it the quickest production vehicle Subaru has sold in the US.
- The SUV rides on 8.3 inches of ground clearance with standard Symmetrical AWD and X-MODE Dual Mode, and can tow up to 3,500 lbs.
- A 74.7 kWh battery delivers up to 281 miles of range, with a standard NACS port enabling DC fast charging from 10% to 80% in as little as 28 minutes.
- The Trailseeker is over 6 inches longer and nearly an inch taller than the Solterra, opening up 31.3 cubic feet of rear cargo space — slightly more than the Tesla Model Y's 30 cu ft.
- Tesla's Model Y RWD starts at $39,990, but AWD costs $41,990 and offers an EPA-estimated 294-mile range — directly bracketing the Subaru on price.
Why it matters: Subaru is holding the Trailseeker's entry price flat at $39,995 — matching the Tesla Model Y RWD dollar-for-dollar — while offering standard AWD, more ground clearance, and more cargo room, undercutting Tesla's $41,990 AWD Model Y by roughly $2,000. With the Trailseeker already outselling the Solterra and Uncharted and going on sale this fall, Subaru gains a price-competitive AWD electric SUV in the same bracket as America's best-selling EV.
