- Subaru priced the 2027 Uncharted EV at $34,995 MSRP—unchanged from the outgoing model—placing it alongside the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Toyota bZ as one of the most affordable EVs in its segment.
- The Uncharted outsold the Solterra by the end of May, just two months after going on sale in March, making it Subaru's most popular EV in the US.
- The 74.7-kWh battery delivers an estimated 300+ miles of range in the base Premium FWD trim, but range drops to 287 miles (Sport) and 273 miles (GT) when the dual-motor AWD system producing 338 hp combined is added.
- The 2027 Uncharted uses a NACS charging port and supports DC fast charging up to 150 kW, enabling a 10% to 80% recharge in as little as 28 minutes.
- Sport and GT trims are priced at $39,795 and $43,795 respectively, with the GT adding a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, 20" aluminum alloy wheels, and a Harman Kardon audio system.
- The 2027 model goes on sale nationwide in the fall in five exterior colors, with all trims including Subaru's EyeSight ADAS suite, an 8.2" ground clearance, and a standard all-weather package with heated front seats and a windshield wiper de-icer.
Why it matters: At $34,995 with 300+ miles of base range, the Uncharted undercuts much of the compact EV field while delivering Subaru's signature AWD on most trims. Subaru outsold the Solterra with the Uncharted within two months of launch, signaling that aggressive pricing—rather than luxury positioning—is the playbook winning the brand EV buyers.
