- Subaru's Trailseeker sold 1,077 units in July, nearly eight times the Solterra's 138 and roughly triple the Uncharted's 359 in the same month, according to US sales figures.
- Through July, the Solterra retains its year-to-date lead with 5,275 units sold, followed by the Trailseeker at 3,513 and the Uncharted at 2,850.
- The Trailseeker is Subaru's largest EV, measuring over 6 inches longer than the Solterra with 97.5 cubic feet of passenger volume and 8.3 inches of ground clearance.
- A dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain produces 375 horsepower, making the Trailseeker the quickest production Subaru sold in the US with a 0-60 mph time of 4.3 seconds.
- The 74.7 kWh battery delivers an EPA-estimated 281-mile range, and a native NACS port gives direct access to Tesla Superchargers, with DC fast charging from 10% to 80% in as little as 28 minutes.
- Pricing runs from $39,995 for the Premium trim to $46,555 for the Touring, closely mirroring the Tesla Model Y RWD's $39,990 starting MSRP.
Why it matters: The Trailseeker is outselling the Solterra — Subaru's first EV co-developed with Toyota — by roughly 8-to-1 in monthly volume, suggesting buyers favor a larger, more powerful, longer-range package. Its native NACS port plugs directly into Tesla's Supercharger network, and the sub-$40,000 entry price undercuts comparably equipped Model Y trims, putting Subaru into direct head-to-head competition in the affordable AWD EV segment.
