- Kia unveiled the PV7 at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover, its second all-electric van under the Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) line, following the PV5.
- The PV7 offers over 460 km (285 miles) of WLTP range in Long Range Cargo trim, with two NCM battery options: 71.5 kWh and 96.2 kWh, and 800V architecture enabling a 10–80% charge in roughly 25 minutes on a 350 kW DC fast charger.
- The PV7 measures 5,350 mm long on a 3,500 mm wheelbase, out-sizing even the long-wheelbase Volkswagen ID. Buzz (4,962 mm) and stretching 645 mm longer than the PV5 Passenger.
- Front-wheel drive is standard, with up to 268 hp (200 kW) and 309 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque; an all-wheel-drive option is planned for later.
- Cargo and Passenger variants are designed for fleet and family use: Cargo offers up to 6.1 cubic meters of load space (8 cubic meters in High Roof) and max payloads of 1,165–1,200 kg, fitting three Euro pallets, while the Passenger seats up to 9 globally (11 in Korea).
- Kia plans 23 total PV7 variants — including compact, long, and high-roof Cargo, Passenger, Chassis Cab, and conversion models — to launch first in Korea and Europe in H2 2027, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.
Why it matters: Kia is using the PV7 to push deeper into the light commercial vehicle market where its PV5 already leads Europe's small electric van segment, and the longer wheelbase and 23-variant roadmap let dealers target everything from shuttle operators to last-mile fleets with one platform. Buyers gain a 460 km-range, 800V-charging electric van larger than the ID. Buzz, but face a wait until the second half of 2027.
