Tonly to Deploy 800 Autonomous Electric Mining Trucks

- Tonly signed a deal to deliver 800 autonomous "New Energy" mining trucks to Xinjiang Hanxiang, announced at the Tonly Heavy Industries Xinjiang Regional Green Intelligence Mine Innovation and Development Seminar in Ürümqi.
- Tesla's Robotaxi fleet currently stands at 17 units in Austin with a handful more in Tampa and Orlando — a scale dwarfed by Tonly's single 800-truck order.
- Tonly already runs fleets of new energy and autonomous trucks at major Xinjiang coal mining operations owned by TBEA, Guanghui Energy, Xinjiang Yihua, and others, most serving large contract mining groups, with the TLE135 (90 t payload) supporting either plug-in charging or battery-swapping.
- Tonly's DTE145 is a 90-tonne-class rigid haul truck fitted with a 770 kWh swappable battery pack (up to 1,200 kWh available) sourced from CATL, powering a 620 kW (~830 hp) electric drivetrain with battery swaps completed in roughly seven minutes.
- Grupo Minero Zijin has already deployed 50 of Tonly's DTE145 battery-electric haul trucks at its Peru mining operation, demonstrating the brand's international footprint beyond China.
- Tonly and partners in the green smart mine construction industry chain jointly signed a Green Smart Mine Ecological Alliance strategy at the same Ürümqi event.
Why it matters: Tonly's 800-truck autonomous order to Xinjiang Hanxiang is roughly 47 times the size of Tesla's entire Robotaxi fleet of 17 Austin units. Mining's controlled routes and battery-swap economics make it the ideal proving ground where autonomous heavy EVs outscale passenger robotaxis — and Tonly is already exporting the playbook to Peru's Grupo Minero Zijin.
