- BYD launched the 2027 Atto 2 "Flying Spur" edition in China on Thursday in five trims priced from 74,800 to 104,800 yuan ($11,000 to $15,500), with a limited-time 5,000 yuan subsidy bringing the effective range to 69,800–99,800 yuan ($10,000 to $14,500).
- The upgraded Yuan Up/Atto 2 adds a new "Excellent" variant with a 51.13 kWh battery delivering 501 km of CLTC range, joining existing 32 kWh (301 km) and 45.12 kWh (401 km) options.
- The 401 km variant is priced roughly 18,000 yuan ($2,500) less than the outgoing model, while the base 301 km trim holds its starting price.
- Interior updates include a two-spoke steering wheel, column-mounted electronic gear shifter, 12.8" infotainment screen, and 8.8" LCD instrument cluster, with BYD's DiLink 100 cockpit and God's Eye C ADAS (Navigate on Autopilot, Remote Parking Assist) standard across the lineup.
- Dimensions remain unchanged at 4,310 mm long on a 2,620 mm wheelbase — roughly Hyundai Kona-sized — keeping the model positioned as BYD's compact SUV sibling to the larger Atto 3.
- The Yuan Up/Atto 2 was the fifth best-selling EV globally in H1 2026 per Cleantechnica, trailing the Tesla Model Y, Tesla Model 3, BYD Song/Seal U, and Geely EX2.
