- Amanda Rufener is being promoted to SVP Exhibitor Marketing & Operations at PaperAirplane, where she will lead the account team overseeing partnerships with studios, exhibitors, and marketplace partners while continuing to run the creative asset team.
- Rufener joined PaperAirplane in April 2021 after 11 years in Lionsgate's Exhibitor Marketing department and is currently working on films including Fall 2, Cookie Queens, Beware of Bouina, and Spa Weekend.
- Meggie Isom, described by President Will Preuss as "a cornerstone of PaperAirplane since day one," has been elevated to VP of Exhibitor Marketing and is currently working on The Magic Far Away Tree, The Fix, and Christmas at the Kringles.
- PaperAirplane co-founders Mike Polydoros (CEO) and Preuss (President) both endorsed the promotions, with Polydoros calling Rufener "one of the most respected executives in our industry" and Isom "an invaluable leader within our organization."
- PaperAirplane, founded by Polydoros and Preuss in July 2020, expanded its Hangar digital film-asset platform internationally in June 2025, launching in the United Kingdom and Latin America while already working with every major studio and theater circuit across North America.
Why it matters: PaperAirplane, which already works with every major studio and theater circuit across North America, restructured its exhibitor marketing leadership just months after launching its Hangar platform in the UK and Latin America. Promoting two executives with deep studio and exhibitor relationships gives the company experienced bench strength for its international scaling push.
