- Lectron now supplies charging adapters to more than 15 global OEMs including Ford, GM, and Mercedes-Benz, a shift from its consumer roots at Home Depot and Amazon, with each adapter containing roughly 60 components.

- Lectron's assembly line logs every build step digitally down to the quarter-turn of a screwdriver, with cameras capturing internal layout at multiple stages so technicians can trace any defects back to their exact build sequence.
- Durability testing includes blasting chargers with industrial high-pressure water, exposing them to extreme heat in an oven, dropping them, and driving over them — a gauntlet designed to simulate years of rain, snow, dust, and heat.
Why it matters: Lectron's quiet rise from a Home Depot SKU to a vetted supplier for Ford, GM, and Mercedes demonstrates that the EV charging supply chain runs through Chinese factories you may never have heard of. For consumers, the practical takeaway is that OEM-grade safety testing — IP66 ratings, temperature sensors on hot pins, and multiple UL certifications — is now available at consumer price points, not just on dealer-installed hardware.
