- Kia revealed the PV7 at IAA Transportation in Hanover in September and will launch Passenger and Cargo versions in Korea and Europe in the second half of 2027, then add new markets with derivatives and conversions; pricing will come closer to launch.
- PV7 uses the E-GMP.S platform and measures 5,350 mm long with a 3,500 mm wheelbase, versus 4,695 mm and 2,995 mm for the PV5; it also exceeds the 4,962 mm Volkswagen ID. Buzz LWB, while Kia plans 23 top-hat variants.
- PV5 became Europe's top-selling electric C-segment van in the first half of 2026, accounting for 37% of segment sales just one year after going on sale.
- PV7 Cargo offers up to 8 cubic meters in High Roof form; configurations support payloads up to 1,200 kg, while Cargo Long fits up to three Euro pallets with a 550 mm loading height.
- PV7 Passenger seats up to nine people globally and 11 in Korea; the seven-seat model uses Long-Rail Easy Remove Seats, while the nine-seat version is offered with or without a fourth row.
- PV7 Long Range Cargo uses 71.5 or 96.2 kWh NCM batteries and exceeds 460 km WLTP; Kia says the PV7 still achieves nearly 400 km with 350 liters of trunk space at full capacity, while its 800V system charges from 10% to 80% in about 25 minutes at 350 kW.
- Pleos Connect combines 12.9- and 14.6-inch displays with Android Automotive OS and Gleo AI inside the PV7; the system can handle navigation and vehicle controls while retaining physical controls for common functions.
Why it matters: For European fleet and logistics buyers, the PV7 expands the usable cargo envelope before its 2027 launch: the High Roof reaches 8 cubic meters, and the compact configuration supports up to 1,200 kg of payload. Its long-range version still delivers nearly 400 km at full capacity, preserving usable range for commercial users when the van is loaded.
