New York Yankees Drama Series In Works From Netflix, Jason Bateman’s Aggregate Films, Josh Wakely & MLB

- Netflix is developing an untitled scripted series about the New York Yankees with Jason Bateman's Aggregate Films and Josh Wakely, with Wakely executive producing via Grace: A Storytelling Company alongside Bateman and Michael Costigan (Aggregate), Nick Trotta (MLB Studios), and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
- Josh Wakely secured the rights from MLB and developed the series concept — the same producer behind Netflix's Emmy-winning animated series "Beat Bugs" and the recently directed sci-fi thriller "Starman" starring Brendan Fraser, Jeff Daniels, and Aisling Bea.
- Aggregate Films has a longstanding Netflix partnership spanning "Ozark," "Hit Man," and "Your Place or Mine" — this season the company earned 20 Emmy nominations, including seven for the Netflix limited series "Black Rabbit."
- Netflix's broader MLB live-event partnership runs through 2028 and already includes the March 25 MLB Opening Night Game, the July 13 T-Mobile Home Run Derby (the most-watched All-Star skills competition in sports), and the August 13 MLB at Field of Dreams broadcast.
- Netflix also streamed all 47 games of the 2026 World Baseball Classic for members in Japan earlier this year.
