- AGC Studios launched AGC Digital, a division that will develop digital creators' original IP into entertainment franchises spanning unscripted, kids & family, native digital, microdramas, scripted television and film.
- Jared Jacobs was named SVP to lead AGC Digital, reporting to Joel Zimmer, president of AGC Unwritten.
- Jacobs previously developed projects with MrBeast, Kai Cenat, Ryan Trahan, Sam & Colby, Moriah Elizabeth and Zach King at Night Studios, and most recently ran digital strategy at Warner Bros. Unscripted Television.
- Stuart Ford framed the launch by saying most digital creators build huge audiences but "the path into mainstream feature film and premium TV remains elusive," positioning AGC as an independent studio offering financing and production muscle without stripping creators of audience or IP control.
- AGC Studios, which has 50-plus film and TV credits, is currently in post on Halle Berry's erotic thriller "Fleur" and the Beatles biopic series "Hamburg Days," with sales launched on Casey Affleck's Venice competition film "Company."
Why it matters: Jacobs arrives with direct working relationships built at Night Studios with MrBeast, Kai Cenat, Zach King and other top digital creators, giving AGC Digital a real pipeline rather than a cold start in a crowded space. The unit's explicit pledge — "we are not here to borrow their audience" — distinguishes it from studio-acquisition models that have historically frustrated creators when their IP moves upmarket.
