- Dick Clark Productions launched DCP Studios, a new division expanding creative and production capabilities for the Golden Globes, "Dick Clark's New Years' Rockin' Eve," Academy of Country Music Awards, and American Music Awards.
- Yosef Johnson will lead DCP Studios, joining from Vox Creative, where he was senior VP and head of the division; he brings 15+ years of experience from prior roles at Group Nine Media, NowThis, and Wieden+Kennedy New York, including work on Nike and ESPN.
- DCP Studios will also serve as the branded production studio for PMX brand partnerships, extending its role beyond DCP's own live events.
- Penske Media Corporation (PMC), parent of DCP and Variety, recently acquired Vox Media and established the PMX unit housing these properties.
- Mike Chuthakieo, DCP's chief commercial officer, framed the launch as enabling an "always-on studio model" offering creative services across every platform.
- Johnson said DCP Studios will help brand partners "show up in ways that are culturally resonant, creatively ambitious and built for every platform where audiences engage."
Why it matters: By standing up DCP Studios as both an awards-show production unit and PMX's branded content studio, Penske Media Corporation ties its live-event IP more directly to advertising partnerships. The hire of Johnson from Vox Creative brings digital-native branded-content expertise into a unit historically defined by live TV tentpoles.
