- Analyst Frank declared Bitcoin is in a "textbook bottom" on X, noting the 200-week SMA ninth quantile has triggered — a level last reached at the pit of the 2022 bear market and the March 2020 COVID crash.
- Bitcoin price has returned to the 200-week SMA reversal zone after recent volatility toward $65,000.
- Short-term holder SOPR flipped green as wallets holding BTC under six months began realizing profits, which Frank called "a characteristic of a bull market."
- CryptoQuant contributor Trader Germini pushed back, noting STH-SOPR has not dropped to the ~0.93 capitulation level seen in prior local bottoms, writing the market "has not yet shown a strong short-term holder capitulation signal."
- Onchain indicators broadly are hitting levels not seen since 2022, adding to a growing consensus that the bear cycle has little time left.
- Cointelegraph also reported $60.4K has become the "most important area" for Bitcoin in the week ahead.
Why it matters: Active BTC speculators now face a split signal: one analyst sees every classic bottom indicator firing at once, while onchain data shows short-term holders haven't yet thrown in the towel at the deep-loss capitulation levels that marked prior cycle troughs — leaving the 'is it over?' debate unresolved at a price that has just bounced toward $65,000.
