- Kia launched the EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT in Europe, joining the EV6 GT (2022) and EV9 GT (late 2024) to round out its electric performance lineup across hot hatch, fastback, compact SUV, midsize SUV, and three-row segments.
- All three new GT models share a dual-motor AWD setup with electronically controlled suspension, plus Kia's Virtual Gear Shift and Active Sound Design systems engineered to replicate the sounds and shift feel of a traditional combustion sports car.
- The EV3 GT produces a combined 288 hp and 345 lb-ft of torque, hits 0–62 mph in 5.7 seconds, and delivers up to 311 miles of WLTP range from the shared 81.4 kWh battery.
- The EV4 GT, available in hot hatch and fastback body styles, also uses the dual-motor AWD powertrain and hits 0–62 mph in 5.6 seconds, with WLTP range up to 333 miles (fastback) or 314 miles (hatchback).
- The EV5 GT, billed as "the most versatile expression of Kia GT," puts out 301 hp and 354 lb-ft, reaches 0–62 mph in 6.2 seconds, and offers up to 295 miles of WLTP range.
- German pricing starts at €53,990 ($62,500) for the EV3 GT, €57,840 ($67,000) for the EV4 GT, and €59,990 ($69,500) for the EV5 GT — undercutting the EV6 GT (€69,990) and EV9 GT (€90,490). UK prices are pending and the EV4 GT Fastback will not be offered there.
- The EV4 GT and EV5 GT are not launching in the US; only the EV3 GT is available stateside, starting at $45,890 with an EPA-estimated 280-mile range.
Why it matters: Kia is pushing its GT performance badge into mass-market segments, with the cheapest new model priced roughly €14,000 below the EV6 GT in Germany and slotting beneath both existing GT EVs. But the rollout is geographically fragmented: UK buyers lose the EV4 GT Fastback entirely, and US shoppers are limited to the EV3 GT only — a gap that limits the 'GT for nearly everyone' pitch outside Europe.
