- Kia opened orders for the 2027 EV4 GT in Canada, its third "affordable" EV to receive the GT treatment, with a starting MSRP of CA$58,595 and an all-in price of CA$61,344 including freight and environmental fees.
- The EV4 GT features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain producing 288 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque, drawing from an 81.4 kWh battery that delivers a Kia-estimated 431 km (267 miles) of range.
- The standard Kia EV4 (FWD) uses a single front-mounted motor rated at 201 hp and 209 lb-ft of torque and is sold in five trims starting at CA$38,995 — cheaper than the Fiat 500e's CA$39,995 entry price.
- EV4 GT trim-exclusive features include neon-accented calipers, suede and synthetic leather seats, 20" alloy wheels, a themed instrument cluster, a windshield head-up display, and a steering-wheel-mounted GT button for a performance boost.
- The EV4 was delayed for the US market "indefinitely" almost a year ago, leaving Canada as the only market for both the standard sedan/hatch and the new GT variant.
- While US buyers are shut out of the EV4, Kia launched the smaller EV3 stateside starting at $29,890, making it among the most affordable EVs available in America.
