- Kia launched the EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT electric performance models in Europe, expanding its electric GT lineup beyond the EV6 GT (2022) and EV9 GT (late 2024).
- The EV3 GT delivers 288 hp and 345 lb-ft of torque, hits 0-62 mph in 5.7 seconds, and starts at €53,990 (~$62,500) in Germany with up to 311 miles of WLTP range.
- The EV4 GT comes in hot hatch and fastback body styles; the hatchback reaches 0-62 mph in 5.6 seconds and starts at €57,840 (~$67,000), with the fastback offering up to 333 miles of WLTP range.
- The EV5 GT produces 301 hp and 354 lb-ft, hits 0-62 mph in 6.2 seconds, and starts at €59,990 (~$69,500), delivering up to 295 miles of WLTP range.
- Kia equipped all three GT EVs with a dual-motor AWD setup, an 81.4 kWh battery, neon-green brake calipers, 20-inch alloys, and Virtual Gear Shift paired with Active Sound Design to mimic ICE sports cars.
- The EV3 GT is now available in the US starting at $45,890 with an EPA-estimated 280 miles of range, but Kia has no plans to launch the EV4 GT or EV5 GT stateside.
- The EV4 GT fastback will not be sold in the UK; Kia said UK pricing for the remaining variants will be revealed shortly.
Why it matters: With US buyers shut out of the EV4 GT and EV5 GT, North American enthusiasts only get the EV3 GT — and at $45,890 it undercuts its €53,990 (~$62,500) German price by roughly $16,600. Kia's Virtual Gear Shift and synthetic engine sounds show the brand is selling emotional engagement, not just straight-line speed, as hot-hatch EVs go mainstream.
