- Trailseeker outsold the Solterra (138 units) and Uncharted (359) in July with 1,077 units sold, taking over as Subaru's top-selling EV by monthly volume within two months of launch
- Solterra still leads Subaru's EV lineup year-to-date through July with 5,275 units, followed by the Trailseeker (3,513) and Uncharted (2,850)
- Trailseeker delivers 375 horsepower from a dual-motor AWD powertrain, hitting 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds — described as the quickest production vehicle Subaru has ever sold in the US
- Trailseeker packs a 74.7 kWh battery with an EPA-estimated 281-mile range, a native NACS port for Tesla Supercharger access, and 150 kW DC fast charging that recharges 10-80% in about 28 minutes
- Trailseeker pricing starts at $39,995 for the Premium trim and tops out at $46,555 for the Touring trim; the Tesla Model Y RWD starts at $39,990 with a 294-mile range
Why it matters: The Trailseeker's July surge (1,077 vs. Solterra's 138) signals Subaru buyers prefer larger, more powerful electric SUVs — yet the Solterra still leads YTD at 5,275 units. Priced at $39,995 against the Tesla Model Y RWD at $39,990, Subaru is now a direct head-to-head competitor in the mainstream electric SUV segment.
